Christopher Chaney, 35, Jacksonville, Florida resident was indicted this morning by the FBI for allegedly hacking into the email of more than 50 victims, including A-list celebrities.
On October 12, 2011, Chaney was charged with identity theft, wiretapping, and other federal offenses for using public information to gain access into email accounts, computers, and cell phones under the control of his victims.
Of his alleged victims, some of the most noted are Christina Aguilera, Scarlett Johansson, and Mila Kunis.
Chaney informed FBI that he acted alone, received no money for his alleged crimes, and did it all for the thrill.
If convicted on all counts, Chaney is facing 121 years in federal prison.
